High-speed imaging applications
See how cameras, lenses and lighting can support research on materials, fluids, welding, automotive testing and microscopy.
Materials and motion
Observe deformation, vibration and failure stages during a test. Image resolution, lighting and synchronization must be defined according to the phenomenon and the analysis you want.
Related lines: Phantom T-Series, KT-Series, TMX and VEO, plus Aurora and SIMX for very short-duration events. See also the application DIC and materials testing.
Fluids, sprays and combustion
Record fast changes in fluid flows and in the light signals of combustion processes. Phantom cameras, UV variants, CAVILUX lighting and Lambert intensifiers meet different capture needs. The right combination depends on the observation technique.
Related lines: Phantom with extended UV sensitivity, CAVILUX HF, CAVILUX Smart, HiCATT and TRiCATT. See also the applications Fluids and PIV and Combustion.
Welding and industrial processes
Follow details of the weld pool, the wire and the motion of the process. Cavitar Welding Camera and CAVILUX lighting offer ways to visualize, teach and develop processes.
Related lines: Cavitar Welding Camera and CAVILUX HF. See also the application Welding and the article Brazilian welding research with high-speed imaging and laser illumination.
Microscopy and low light
Observe small objects, microchannels and weak signals. Infinity optical systems, compact cameras and Lambert solutions let you build the setup according to magnification, working distance and spectral range.
Related lines: K2 DistaMax and InfiniProbe TS-160, from Infinity Photo-Optical, and HiCAM Fluo, from Lambert Instruments. See also the application Microfluidics and biomedical.
Automotive testing and tight spaces
The geometry of the test may call for small cameras and several synchronized views. The Phantom C and Miro C and N families include options for this type of setup.
Related lines: Phantom C-Series and Phantom Miro C and N. See also the application Crash test and vehicle safety.
Cinema and image production
Slow-motion recording also depends on a careful choice of camera, lens and lighting. Our experience in audiovisual production helps both with production and with technical capture.
See the application Cinema and advertising and the Cinema and TV products in the catalog.
