Trigger and synchronization

The camera records in a loop and the trigger sets time zero; the pre-trigger keeps what came before and synchronization aligns cameras, lasers and instrumentation on the same clock.

Circular recording

The memory is continuously overwritten until the trigger; after it, the camera records the configured post-trigger fraction.

Pre-trigger

Set how much of the memory is kept before the trigger so you do not lose the start of the event.

Trigger sources

Button, sensor, PLC, laser, sound, or image trigger.

Synchronization

Several cameras, the PIV laser and the DAQ share a sync signal and timecode.

Logging

Timecode in the .cine file makes it possible to cross-reference the sensor data.

Frequently asked questions

How do I synchronize two Phantom cameras for 3D DIC?

Connect both to the same sync and trigger signal; the PCC controls them as a single system.
